Sailing is a fantastic experience providing that sensation of freedom that only few things in life can provide. Departure for our excursion is at 10am with coffe on board, we will leave La Cala Marina (just 5 minute’s walk from the centre of Palermo city). We will sail to Punta Priolo and after Mondello beach on the west coast of Palermo (1,5h sailing) where we will take some time to anchor in the gulf of Mondello for a swim and to enjoy the view of the fantastic Monte Pellegrino. At 12.30 we start sailing for one more hour to Capo Gallo Nature Reserve and Sferracavallo. Here we will have lunch on board and chance to swim to Grotta dell’Olio cave or admire the wild cliffs dropping into the sea. If we have time we will reach Sferracavallo bay, a small village facing the desertic island of Isola delle Femmine. At 4pm we will start sailing on the way back to the marina (2,5h sailing). In order to take part to the excursion you don’t need to be an experienced sailor or even a beginner, since I will provide you with all the basic info to enjoy your excursion at the best. Anyone can take part to the sailing activity on board, and receive some basic notions of sailing. On the way back to Palermo we can admire the sunset over the sea, and if we are lucky we may even see the dolphins.
